The National Sanitation and Hygiene Business Development Exhibition was held at Lira Recreational Grounds on August 6th and 7th.

The chief Guest for day one was Minister of state for Primary Health Care Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu. Dwhile day two had the Lira District Commissioner (RDC), Mr Milton Odongo as the guest of honour.

Dr Joyce Moriku launched a new waste segregation innovation and appealed to event organisers, hotels managers, schools and other public institutions to practice waste segregation wherever rubbish is collected to enable recycling.

In her remarks, she said that government is formulating a law that will give a provision for waste segregation right from Households to institutions and industries.
